HB Short Lets have a 30 year track record and are extremely experienced at negotiating & securing temporary house and apartment rentals.
Typically our clients will be Insurers or their loss adjusters, building companies, property warranty providers, film production companies, those between house sales, home owners carrying out extensive building works to their own properties, or those needing flexible property rentals for work commitments or relocation.

The key to our service is understanding your requirements and then going out into the correct letting channels to find a suitable property and negotiate fair terms for you:
- Suitability of the property
- Suitability of accommodation provider
- Assess furniture requirements
- Fire Safety / Electrical / Gas / Certificates
- Checking the terms for Utility Use and Council Tax
- Setting a fair monthly rental inclusive of utility costs.
- Setting up a Licence To Occupy Agreement ( or break clause tenancy agreement if required).
- Tenancy Deposits negotiations carried out if applicable.

We have many years experience of managing, tenancies, short lets and holiday lets and we have a large database of properties and also regularly use the major
portals such as Rightmove, Booking.com and Airbnb.

We are fully up to date with changes in housing legislation, from fire regulations to the new Renters Rights Act and the compulsory Short Let Registration Scheme expected to be introduced in 2026. This legislation over the next year and ongoing will start to change the accessibility of short term rentals and it will be important to know how to navigate the new letting requirements.
We are regularly contacted by insurance loss adjusters, NHS staff housing, those between house moves, building works, those working in the entertainment sector and on occasions have secured accommodation for the crew of BBC Film shoots.
